Who we are
Established in 2009 we are an Oxford based music promotion company, bringing you the best, of the best new music! We are trying to do something slightly different, but at the core of what we do is brilliant new music.
This is what we want to achieve:
- Put on gigs with great new music - bringing you the best of next best thing in music. Get to see the next best thing at your local venue, before they play the Pyramid Stage at Glasto and they are a mere spot on the horizon. We are constantly identifying and supporting new music – check out the legendary top pickers of Daisy Rodgers and Hot Rodd – check out their myspace page – www.myspace.com/daisyrodgers for details of what’s hot!
- Get the fans involved in the gig, by giving them the chance to choose part of the set list – buy an advance ticket and then vote on the ‘Rodd of Hotness’ for one of the bands to play your favourite cover version. It’s simple and free to do. The relevant link will be emailed to you when you buy an advance ticket.
- Post gig, we’ll publish the set lists and details of our amazing playlist so that you can go track down that awesome new track you just heard – If you, like us, get annoyed with not knowing what was the name of a cool tune you just heard then fear not we have a plan! After each gig we’ll publish the set lists and the tunes played by the DJs and even give you the chance to buy them. The playlist will be a cool mixture of new tracks, some you may have heard before, but others it may be your first time.
- We’ll publish photos from the night as well as do our best to get free stuff to give away – As well as publishing photos from the gig (of the crowd and the band), well do our best to get some cool free giveaways as well. We all love unique (free) stuff don’t we?
- We are going to do our best to operate in an ethical and environmentally friendly way and will give a % of our profits to the WWF – wherever possible we’ll try and operate in an ethical way and environmentally friendly way, whether that be minimising flyers or bill posting to using electronic ticketing. We aren’t saying we’ll be perfect but we’ll give it a go. If you’ve got any suggestions then drop us an email. We are also going to donate a percentage of our annual profits to WWF (Not the wrestlers, the animal panda loving people – www.wwf.org.uk).
